What started as childhood curiosity — Niki staging weddings for her dolls at age seven, Artem sketching shadows in his math notebook — has grown into a shared craft. For us, photography isn't just what we do. It's how we see the world.

📍 Do you travel for shoots?

We don't travel — our Voorschoten studio is a dream location for a reason. With indoor rooms, a barn, and 3000 m² of garden light, most clients say:

"Why would we ever shoot anywhere else?"

👗 Can I wear my own outfits?

Of course! You're welcome to bring 2–3 outfits. We also have studio wardrobe items, flowing fabrics, and soft layers you can use freely.

🐶 Can I bring my pet / toddler / chaos crew?

Yes. Yes. And… yes. We work with love, laughter, and a bit of chaos every day. Just let us know who's coming so we can prep accordingly. 🐾👶🎉

We don't just shoot pictures. We design emotional experiences through golden hour light, thoughtful pacing, and trust. Our cinematic approach captures the feeling of a moment, not just its appearance. Based in the Netherlands, our style blends technical excellence with emotional storytelling.

Most sessions take place outdoors during golden hour at beautiful locations across the Netherlands—Katwijk beach, Leiden's historic streets, and local forests. We also offer indoor sessions at our naturally-lit Voorschoten studio at Leidseweg 553.

We are Niki and Artem—founders of Koaplinchik, partners in life and creativity. Based in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, we combine our unique perspectives to create imagery that feels like poetry. Every session is personally guided by us.

We primarily shoot with the Canon EOS R6 paired with the RF 50mm f/1.2L lens for that dreamy, cinematic depth of field. For wider environmental storytelling, we use the Sigma Art 35mm. Our signature look comes from shooting wide open (f/1.2-f/2.0) during golden hour.

Ideally within the first 14 days; we'll hold a flexible window around your due date at our Voorschoten studio. This allows us to capture those fleeting newborn poses while they're still naturally curled up from the womb. We recommend booking during your second trimester to secure your spot in our calendar.

Both. Our studio in Voorschoten, Zuid-Holland is available year-round with multiple styled rooms and natural light; outdoor sessions work beautifully at golden hour at locations like Katwijk beach, Leiden's historic streets, and local parks. We can also come to your home anywhere in the Netherlands for a more intimate setting.

Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours at our Voorschoten studio, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those peaceful moments. Family, couple, and portrait sessions usually run 1-2 hours, giving everyone time to relax into the experience. Golden hour sessions are precisely timed with sunset times across the Netherlands, which vary seasonally.

We primarily shoot with the Nikon Z5II paired with the RF 50mm f/1.2L lens for that dreamy, cinematic depth of field. For wider environmental storytelling, we use the Sigma Art 35mm.
